Background

I have been a counselor for 25 years. My experience is extensive, having worked in psychiatric hospitals, chemical dependency units, university and outpatient settings. My Seattle private practice began in 1991 and I specialize in the following areas: anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and money issues. After receiving my MSW from Washington University, St. Louis and an MA from the University of Nebraska in Educational Psychology and Social Foundations, I completed a program in marriage and family therapy at the Family Therapy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am a clinical member of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) as well as being a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. In addition to being in private practice, I am an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). I have been on arbitration panels in cases where there were claims against stockbrokers and brokerage firms. I am also a member of the Seattle Counselors Association.
